Ruvheneko Rwenyeredzi Trust
The greatest miracle is remembering the vulnerable. J5's social mission is carried forward through the Ruvheneko Rwenyeredzi Trust — serving widows, orphans, women, and youth across Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Our Social Mission
Guided by the Shona proverb, "Munana Mukuru kurangarira Shiri kadzi nenherera" — the greatest miracle is remembering the widow and the orphan — Archbishop Makururu founded the Ruvheneko Rwenyeredzi Trust to drive grassroots social transformation across the communities J5 serves.
The Trust operates as the social development arm of the church, delivering practical, life-changing programmes across Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Where the church plants a congregation, the Trust plants opportunity.
Core Advocacy Pillars
J5 stands as a fierce, vocal opponent of early child marriages and gender-based violence (GBV) within religious communities. The church drives massive internal educational campaigns to protect young girls and hold communities accountable.
The Trust funds large-scale regional livelihood programmes that equip women with the skills and resources to become economically independent and provide for their families.
Through workshops, sports events, and church-led programmes, J5 actively combats substance abuse among young people — redirecting them toward formal education, technical skills, and spiritual grounding.
Lives Changed
"The mushroom farming training changed my life completely. I completed the programme in Harare and now I run my own small enterprise. My three children are in school because of what I learned through the Trust."
"Before J5 came to our village, two girls from our street had already been forced into early marriages. Now our church stands clearly against it and our community is listening."
"I was heading in the wrong direction. The youth sports programme at our assembly gave me a reason to stay. Now I am enrolled in a technical college and serving in my church."
